As one of the founding partners of Memphis Heart Clinic, Dr. William Flanagan, with his leadership, excellence and compassion helped mold and shape this clinic into what it is today. Always leading by example, “Patients First” was his motto, one in which Memphis Heart Clinic’s mission is based upon.

Dr. Flanagan grew up in West Memphis, AR and earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock, followed by a fellowship in cardiology at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. From there, Dr. Flanagan returned to Memphis, where he practiced cardiology for 31 years.

Words cannot express how much Dr. Flanagan will be missed; or what and extraordinary person and physician he was to so many people. Dr. Flanagan was a role model, a colleague, a dedicated care giver and most importantly, a friend. We are blessed to have known our beloved Dr. Flanagan and it has been a true privilege to work with him.
