Memphis Heart Clinic’s Device Clinic was established in 2006 providing our patients who have pacemakers and defibrillators consistent follow-up care through our comprehensive program.

We carefully follow our patients with routine evaluations of their implanted devices to prevent future complications and ensure continued health.

The program begins after surgery when a patient meets with a device nurse at Memphis Heart Clinic. Our nurse guides the patient through a series of questions related to their device. This consistent exchange of information provides our cardiologists with a solid picture of the patient’s progress. Follow-up visits are scheduled every three months.

Always supporting the newest technologies, Memphis Heart Clinic can also monitor patients from home. In those cases where a device can be electronically monitored, patients download data via the internet and send it electronically to our offices where our staff can review it.
