Memphis Heart Clinic Partners with Memphis Restaurant Association to Offer Heart Healthy Options While Dining Out

(Heart Builders to launch May 15th at participating restaurants)

MEMPHIS, TNMay 9, 2007 – Memphis Heart Clinic ( MHC ) announced today their partnership with the Memphis Restaurant Association as they launch Heart Builders, a new initiative offering Memphians heart healthy options in local area restaurants. As part of the initiative, Memphis Restaurant Association has named MHC its official Heart Healthy Partner.

Heart Builders will work with local restaurants to place heart healthy items on their menus. As part of the program, MHC provides participating restaurants access to its team of cardiologists and a nutritionist. MHC also works with restaurants to evaluate existing menu items and either identify or create heart healthy options.

Hueys, Dbo’s and Garibaldi’s Pizza have completed the menu analyzing process and will be serving their heart healthy items beginning Tuesday, May15th. There are also plans to involve additional restaurants. The Half Shell has signed up as a participant with plans to put heart healthy items on their menus.

May 15 th will be the official roll out when participating restaurants will introduce their heart healthy menu items. Huey’s on Poplar will provide the media with heart healthy menu samples from 11:00 am-12:00 pm.
