Memphis Heart Clinic welcomed M. Brent Addington, MD, FACC to its team of cardiologists in May, 2008. A native Memphian, Dr. Addington has been in private practice for over 20 years in the Memphis community.
Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology, Dr. Addington specializes in consultative and interventional cardiology, peripheral interventions as well as IVC filter placement. He sees patients at our Memphis location.
Dr. Addington received his Bachelor’s Degree from Brown University. He went on to complete his medical degree at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. After earning his medical degree, Dr. Addington completed his Surgery Internship at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Boston, MA and his Medicine Internship and Residency at the University of Tennessee and City of Memphis Hospitals. Subsequently, Dr. Addington completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of Tennessee (Bowld) Hospital.
Active in the medical Community, Dr. Addington has served as associate director of the Baptist Memorial Hospital Catheterization Lab. He is also a member of several professional associations including the Memphis and Shelby County Medical Society, Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association and Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics, Columbia University Medical Center.
When Dr. Addington is not at work he enjoys spending time with his 2 children and will play tennis any chance he can get. He has a true love for being outdoors that developed from being an Eagle Scout. Dr. Addington also enjoys reading and traveling abroad.
