A founding partner and President, Dr. Joseph K. Samaha has spent over 25 years treating heart patients and providing strong leadership within Memphis Heart Clinic.  Board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine, Dr. Samaha’s research and expertise centers on coronary interventions and the management of congestive heart failure patients.

Dr. Samaha left Memphis to attend Southern Methodist University as an undergraduate, however returned to Memphis to complete all his medical training at the University of Tennessee.  Dr. Samaha is licensed in Mississippi and Tennessee.  He treats patients at the clinic’s East Memphis location as well as in Covington, Tn.

A recognized leader in his field, Dr. Samaha has gained a solid reputation for his compassionate, accomplished care and his focus on the individual patient.  As well as a leading voice at Memphis Heart Clinic, he has been instrumental and supportive of the technological advances within the practice. Under his leadership, Memphis Heart Clinic became the first clinic in the country in 2000 to offer electronic medical records to patients via mini disk, allowing patients and physicians instant access to medical history during emergencies.

In 2007, Dr. Samaha was recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance for his excellence in cardiac care.  Known also for his kind personality, Dr. Samaha has truly contributed to the warmth of the practice.

Married with three children, Dr. Samaha likes to fly fish, golf and vacation at the beach where he most likely can be found reading the latest bestseller. He also loves to play with his two black labs, Lulu and Daisy.
