Since 1996, Dr. Hess has been recognized as one of “The Best Doctors in America ” by the Best Doctors in America Publication.
This native New Yorker has called Memphis home since 1977 when he became the Associate Director of the Cardiac Laboratory at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
He later became Director of that same laboratory prior to his joining Memphis Heart Clinic in 2000.
Dr. Hess holds multiple board certifications in internal medicine, cardiology, cardiac electrophysiology and echocardiography. His present focus is on the practice of clinical cardiology with an emphasis on clinical cardiac electrophysiology and cardiac ultrasound.
Dr. Hess’ calling to become a cardiologist stems from his mission to help others, particularly those suffering from cardiac disorders. “I enjoy studying and practicing the science and art of clinical cardiology”, says Hess. He strives to serve his patients with wisdom and compassion.
Married with three children, Dr. Hess enjoys spending time with his family, reading and travel.
